Seems to be a similar path to what I have taken. Currently using CM methods for schooling my ODD teen with a twist, after all I am his IEP. It feels like unschooling or Montessori flavored some days, but if it gets him to learn without (too much) arguing then we have both won. There are 4 years, no need to buy them all at once. Just get the first year (or see if your library has it) and start from there.
